Artist: Joseph Murray Ince
Joseph Murray Ince (1806–1859) was brought up in Wales and was known for his landscapes, drawings, and watercolours of local scenes in Wales. In 1826 he moved to London and first exhibited at the Royal Academy at the age of only 19. In 1832 he made many architectural drawings and views of the colleges in Oxford and Cambridge. He was a drawing master at Cambridge University in the 1830s. He painted many maritime and rural scenes including harvesting and woodcutting showing contemporary people and their animals.
