Frequently Asked Questions...
(Giclée is pronounced gee-clay with a soft G) The quality of a giclée print is superior to mass produced prints and when done authentically, as we do, it is the closest reproduction printing method possible for matching to an original artwork. We produce every print to order using the same ink, paper and printing
techniques used by museums all over the world.
No, I’m afraid we don’t. We carevery much about the artists and the pieces that we have in our collection. It’s a privilege to have this artwork available to reproduce in the way we do. We don’t feel that producing them on an office printer does them justice. Our papers, our inks and the way we create our prints means that each piece is the nearest it possibly can be to the original artwork.
Yes! We are now producing frames here in our workshop. We have a selection of quality hand crafted, solid wood frames, each carefully chosen to work perfectly with each print. If you are on a budget, there are many off the shelf frames available on Etsy and eBay. All you need to do is buy a frame in the same 'A' size as your print and it will fit perfectly.
None of our prints come with separate mounts. Some have a printed border which replaces the need for a mount, and some are borderless pieces. In either case the edge to edge size of the prints is 'A' sized as stated. If you should want a mount around your print, then you just need to buy a mount for the 'A' size you choose and then a frame to go with that.
Each print is hand produced to order here in our workshop, please allow 7 days for prints to be dispatched and 2-3 weeks for framed artwork. All of our orders are sent Next Day Signed for with full tracking.
We are a very small company and print everything to order especially for you. We do not keep stock of any of our pieces. Our prints are delicate and items returned to us are invariably damaged after two rounds in the post and unfortunately need to be written off. Therefore, returns for us are costly and we try to keep them to a minimum if we can. Of course, we want you to be entirely happy with your Musée purchases and understand that sometimes pieces just don’t work in the space you intended so if you feel you need to return anything or chat before you buy please contact us here and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Frames are individually hand made and are often bespoke so unfortunately are non-returnable. Please talk to us before purchasing if you have any questions.
We are very sorry, but we only print to the sizes stated. All of our artwork has been remastered to international 'A' size so that each piece of artwork can be scaled without any cropping of the image.
The answer to your question is possibly! We can print A1 (594 x 841mm) but we are at the mercy of the original museum scans in terms of resolution and subsequent quality. Some artworks are very high resolution and will easily go up to A1 others are not. So, let us know the ones you are interested in and we can investigate for you.
The price for A1 is £95 Unmounted – We are sorry, but we can only send larger prints rolled and not mounted.
We ship all over the world and do so on a delivery duty unpaid basis which means any import taxes or duties, if there are any, would need to be paid by you. We are unable to estimate what they may be as these are charges local to you.
