I am Jo a self-confessed interiors addict, a lover of muted palettes and vintage finds. My home is my castle and my husband Si and I have spent the last 5 years renovating our Victorian money pit. It has been a labour of love!
Simon and I are both photographers. I became one late in life, photographing hundreds of beautiful weddings during my career. I had spent all my life previously in the wonderful world of textiles working in my family business which designed and manufactured soft furnishings for the home.
Si has been a professional photographer for over 30 years documenting many artwork collections and interior spaces. Working alongside archivists and collection curators for some of the most beautiful historic estates including The Treasure Houses of England and The Royal Collection.
Our home is full of old treasures we have collected over the years from antique fairs and brocantes. There is nothing I love more than finding a collection of fusty old books in the perfect shade of green or a poor unloved piece of furniture I know I can make beautiful again. I have also searched slavishly for historical artworks to adorn our walls but am usually too late to the market to grab that rare original find and although I have used many mass produced posters they never seem to sit right with me.
So with our backgrounds in photography and print I began researching what I could produce myself. Exploring the vast digital archives of museum collections and catalogues of vintage illustrations all over the world, I discovered thousands of unearthed treasures available to reproduce under licence. I was immediately smitten and Musée Home was born.
We are thrilled to bring you Musée Home and we really hope you love our galleries as much as I have loved creating them.
