OUR FRAMES

Every solid wood frame is crafted and finished in our own UK workshop using the highest quality materials. We use responsibly sourced timber for all our frames, with the majority made from 100% FSC-certified wood. It's part of our commitment to thoughtful materials, lasting quality, and low-waste production.

Musée frames pair beautifully with our prints, each frame is made to order and hand painted in your chosen Farrow & Ball shade. We've curated a palette of nine timeless colours — classic tones that elevate the artwork without overpowering it.

Lead time for handcrafted frames is around 2 weeks.

Pickwick

A softly curved profile with subtle contours and depth. Slim, softly curved and quietly classic.

Isher

A delicately beaded profile— perfect for smaller prints gallery walls or where a sense of prettiness is key.

Darrowby

Slim and fine-edged with a crisp, angled profile.

Fenleigh

Slim and fine-edged with a crisp, angled profile.

Sorrell

Sorrell offers gentle definition without overpowering the artwork. A versatile frame that works across our collections, adding softness and detail.

Mapleton

A scooped silhouette, Mapleton brings subtle structure to your walls. Its linear shape offers a contemporary edge.

Hemsley

With a deep bevel and stepped edge, Hemsley has a sense of sculptural presence. A classic frame which looks impressive large or small.

Marwood

Marwood brings a hint of ornament with its flowing, curved detail. Decorative but not fussy, a classic heavyweight frame.

Auden

Auden is our widest and most substantial frame — clean-lined, heavyweight, and quietly confident.

"No Glaze" Protective Coating

Some pieces of art look more authentic to the original when framed with no glazing at all. To help protect the surface of the print when a frame is not glazed, we apply a water based UV protection varnish to the surface of the print before it is framed. The beautiful, very low sheen finish has the added benefit of having no reflections so the art can be viewed clearly from all angles. This finish also means your artwork can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth.

"True Colour" Acrylic Glazing

Traditional picture framing glass has a slight green tint to it due to the iron oxide used in the manufacturing process. The Cast Acrylic we use is optically clear and introduces no colour casts, which would change the appearance of the artwork. Cast acrylic offers amazing clarity as well as being lighter that glass and safer to transport.

Farrow & Ball Paints

We use genuine Farrow & Ball paints to hand finish every frame in our collection. Their richly pigmented colours and chalky, heritage finish perfectly complement the character of our prints. We’ve selected nine timeless shades that sit beautifully with our artwork — but we’re always happy to accommodate custom requests. Each frame is painted by hand in our UK workshop, using traditional techniques and careful attention to detail.
