Artist: Victor Westerholm
Victor Westerholm was a Finnish landscape painter born in 1860. He was the son of Victor and Maria and trained as an artist from the age of 9, eventually making it to the Académie Julian in Paris. He often painted winter landscapes and sunsets from his summer home "Tomtebo" which he shared with his wife Hilma and their daughter Greta. He became an instructor at Turku drawing school and in 1891 and was elected as the curator of the newly formed Art Association in Turku. He died at the age of 58 from a flu that turned to pneumonia.
